Afriquia Foundation Doctors in Katondwe

At the beginning of January, we had the pleasure of hosting a group of orthopedic surgeons from the Afriquia Foundation. They installed a C-arm, a specialized X-ray machine that provides precise imaging during surgical procedures, in our modern operating room.

This was a wonderful culmination of two years of preparations to create an orthopedic operating room in our hospital.

It's difficult to express in words what we feel. An official note – expressing our immense gratitude for the great support of a friendly company from Łódź and the dedication of the Afriquia Foundation – does not fully capture our appreciation. It's just words.

But in fact, wonderful people came to us. Specialist doctors who performed several planned surgeries. They took care of the new equipment and, very importantly, trained our staff. Thanks to their work and dedication, after so many years of preparation, we can finally perform orthopedic surgeries according to the latest global standards.

Mr. Irek also came – an extraordinary person. From morning to evening, he took care of our equipment. He installed a dental unit. He was constantly tweaking, adjusting, and repairing our old medical devices.

It is impossible not to mention Dr. Bartłomiej Osadnik. He is the founder and president of the Afriquia Foundation, an orthopedic surgeon and traumatologist. He is a great specialist, and at the same time an empathetic, courteous, and modest person. His work, dedication, and organizational skills have greatly contributed to our joint success.

Afriquia has been supporting us for years. On their website, they wrote that the new operating room is the beginning of a new era in healthcare in this region. This is a very accurate statement, and we will do everything in our power to make the most of this opportunity.
