Our hospital is located in the heart of beautiful subtropical Africa. However, Katondwe is not only an idyllic picture and exotic landscapes, but also the "mundane daily life" – difficult living conditions, road accidents, serious illnesses or attacks by wild animals. Despite all the obstacles, such as lack of funds or the unfavourable climate, there is always room for sincere joy and friendliness in our everyday life. The beginning of April at the hospital in Katondwe was a very intense time for all of us. For several days, our team was joined by Dr Maciej Skarżyński, who was drawn into the daily life of our hospital almost from the very first moments of his stay.

Little Pawełek (Paul) faces huge challenges - cerebral palsy and a recent leg fracture. And yet he is not alone in all this. Thanks to the careful care of Dr. Zelippa and our team, every day becomes a little lighter.
Helping the youngest is more than a gesture - it's about building a safe world for them to smile, grow and simply be children.
