Our hospital is located in the heart of beautiful subtropical Africa. However, Katondwe is not only an idyllic picture and exotic landscapes, but also the "mundane daily life" – difficult living conditions, road accidents, serious illnesses or attacks by wild animals. Despite all the obstacles, such as lack of funds or the unfavourable climate, there is always room for sincere joy and friendliness in our everyday life. We received a new anaesthesia machine, it is a gift from the Zambian Ministry of Health.
It is an essential piece of equipment for every operation because it it tremendously improves the safety and monitoring of the patient's condition.

A dream has come true in Katondwe – and one that was truly needed. We’re thrilled to share that in March 2025, our newly built Neonatal Ward officially opened its doors. This is a huge step forward for our patients and the entire hospital team. The need for such a facility has been growing rapidly, especially with the increasing number of births and the importance of caring for both mothers and their newborns.
