Easter at the Katondwe Mission Hospital

This year, the Easter wishes of good health are especially meaningful. We wish you physical health, in particular in the light of the new danger of the virus, but also spiritual health, which is equally important. Here, in our hospital, we are aware of it. While schools, kindergartens and churches have been closed, we also try to provide spiritual support to our patients and the personnel.

We have done our best to prepare the Katondwe Mission Hospital for patients infected with the coronavirus. We have managed to adapt two rooms into a small intensive care unit.

We stocked up on food, fuel and ethanol. The humanitarian foundation Redemptoris Missio has supported us with medical equipment. We have installed a chloramine machine. We have started sewing masks and medical coats ourselves from the materials we received last year as part of the 'Bandages for Katondwe' campaign.

We look forward to seeing what the coming weeks will bring.
